Mediation

Mediation is one of a number of methods of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in which a neutral person actively assists disputing parties to work toward a negotiated agreement; this may avoid the need to go to court.

Fees

In most cases a one-day mediation will cost each party a maximum of £750+VAT. In contrast, simple court proceedings to recover a sum of £15,000 will likely cost in excess of £5,000; potentially more if you lose.

Flexibility

Not only is mediation more cost effective than litigation but it is more flexible. Unlike taking a case to court, with mediation you remain in control and the options for settlement are almost endless.
